The Czech Army Radio Club was founded on May 1st with the aim to support radio amateurs of the Czech Army, especially among the conscripts and also among the other members  of the Czech Republic Army. As guaranteed by the Czech Army Radio Club Status, club is an open organisation and want to cooperate with the other clubs in the Czech Republic. Chief of the Signal Corps of the Czech Republic Army - Brigade General  Ing. Vlastimil PICEK has become patron of the CARC. From the very beginning it is active as OK1KLE, OK5ACR, OK2OLC and as from 1st November 1999 also as OK1OCA.
