OK1OCA – the new club station of the Czech Republic Army Radio Club, was founded on 1 of November 1999.
Why have another club station? The increasing number of members, especially from the conscripts, have made the “traditional” base, from which especially “ham” soldiers on military service broadcast, overcrowded. Milešovka Hill, which are needed for official broadcasting, no longer satisfy the ham demands. Newcomers therefore have broadcasting space from another beautiful hill – Praha in the Brdy range, where at the same time they will take care of the undisturbed work of our repeater OK0BR.
